Hakama pants are a traditional type of pant often (but not always!) worn with a kimono both in modern and historic Japanese styles. Hakama are worn by Miko (Shinto priestesses), while practicing kendo (swordsmanship) and in formal situations by both men and women--and this pattern is unisex, so it also fits both men and women!
Patterns included: Hakama with sashinuki (gathered ankle) options for 1/4 scale dolls. Kimono not included, there is a separate pattern for those.
Supplies needed: 1/3 yard fabric, thread/sewing supplies
Difficulty: Intermediate. These are loose fitting pants with pleats. They look really complicated, but as long as you can iron in folds along the guide lines in the pattern you may find these easier than traditional western pants.

The instructions were easy to follow and I could make two Barbie sized dirndl outfits in a very short time. I certainly want the pattern in 1/3 scale, too - for my Smart Dolls
I have always wanted to make dirndls for my dolls. This pattern is absolutely perfect. I liked it so much that I made 6 outfits in a row. Great!
Perfect, straightforward, and easy instructions! I really appreciate that you’re also directed towards which fabrics work best, very helpful for a beginner.

I fancy it!!
I sew clothes for my niece's dolls easier . She's enjoying playing a lot of roles.
It's an amazing pattern!!!
I’ve been eyeing the RenFaire costume pattern & bought it as part of the costume bundle. 2 of the patterns didn’t download properly. RAD responded to my email that day, and fixed the situation so I can begin sewing. I’ve purchased from RAD before, and her designs & instructions are great. I can’t wait to make the outfits from this bundle!
This pattern was SO easy and very simple to edit to make into a bodysuit with only one arm/one leg (I am making Taylor Swift's Reputation Era body suit). It saved me SO much hassle! 10/10 reccomended.
So far I've sewn a t-shirt and shorts (sewn before the doll arrived, they fit great), and have plans for a dress.
I am very impressed by how much came with this bundle! The instructions were really clear and easy to follow (and I’m a complete beginner). I love that there are more advanced options mixed in so I can continue to learn from this pattern as my skills increase. The little hints and tips show that all these patterns were really well thought out and “idiot-proofed” which I am highly appreciative of!
I have never sewn doll clothing before, but I do a lot of other types of sewing. I needed a pattern for a Slate Cave Club doll. This isn't a popular doll to customize, but the head was the right shape for what I was doing. I bought this set of patterns, and they were big, but printed out at 80% got me close enough to make it work. The pattern pieces worked well, and matched up together. I will buy more here when I need them for the next doll.
Amazing pattern with easy to follow instructions. It's easy to upscale as well. I was able to make a dress for a mh doll as well as another brand that was about twice the size.
Freebie, but can't go wrong with a good underwear pattern! RAD patterns are all I'll use for years now, I've never been less than thrilled and I've had phenomenal experiences when requesting help/tips.
